She went missing one day, falling into the bunker in Hometown, which lead her to ending up in the Dark World. Confused and disoriented, she learned to adapt and live in it for years, eventually leading her to change her morals and don the persona of a cynical and fairly ruthless Knight, gaining a reputation as a sort of boogeyman in the Dark World, all to further a desperate goal of getting back to her family.Dess changed exponentially over the time she's been in the Dark World, over time, she's gone from someone bold, spontaneous, and protective, to someone desperate, someone reserved, but also someone who is willing to do ANYTHING to live normally again. An unrelenting, unwavering, terrifying lethal force born of the primal need to persist.In the Light World, Dess wears a long, dark purple skirt, a dark purple, sleeveless jacket, a grey tank-top, and a golden locket in the shape of a heart. She commonly cuts her antlers down, and has black, messy hair.In the Dark World, Dess dons a dark purple set of plate armor akin to that of a typical knight, which was grafted to her in an accident involving her magic, with a helmet adorned with wing-like attachments, and a small flame above the head of it. She also continues to wear her locket. She wields a mace crafted using her own antlers that she had previously cut off, bundled together into an unorthodox, but equally deadly, weapon.Stats/ItemsDARK WORLD

"The entire conceptualization for Dess's armor as the Knight was originally meant to bear a much more similar appearance to things like Elden Ring's Crucible Knights, however after I experimented with the coloring and the general look of the armor itself, I think it not only looks better, and it just feels a little more pleasant to look at then the gold/orange color scheme the armor was originally supposed to have. Definitely easier on the eyes!""The in-lore magical accident that Dess suffered was using whatever her fire equivalent to Noelle's Snowgrave spell would be (Workshopping the name right now, REALLY like the sound of Wildfire), as it not only burnt everything around her to nothing but fine ash, but it also heated up her armor to the point where her body began to literally COOK inside it, eventually becoming grafted to her very skin. The only piece of her armor exempt from this is the helmet, since she got that AFTER the accident.""Yes, That gray, charred, glitchy mess of a deer lady IS in fact a sort of Goner/Vessel form of Dess! That whole idea came to me one day thinking about Dess straight up just killing a titan that had managed to reawaken in the Dark World cliffs (Context: I headcanon that area to effectively be a mass burial site for Titans), and the ones that are just kinda waiting for the Roaring to happen managed to see that, say "HOLY SHIT, SHE JUST KILLED JIM, WE BETTER DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT", and decided to basically tear her soul from her body, imprison it in an MUCH weaker titan, but one definitely strong enough to keep her at bay, and toss her vessel away, as it would be much too weak to really fight back at all without a soul. After that, the vessel just wandered around, forgetting more and more, losing more and more color, until it became what it is now.""If Dess has any of the seven main souls traits, she DEFINITELY has bravery.""I find it funny to think that Dess might have just REALLY not liked the whole Christmas-y deal her family had, and just decided to do her own thing.
